Makweti Lodge MealsMakweti is a full service lodge. A Pan-African hospitality cuisine is presented
with traditional South African hospitality, you will be delighted with the careful
attention to detail. The chefs select only the choicest of fruit and vegetables
and even the most discerning palette will be delighted with the presentation of
meats, venison and local fish dishes. A selection of breads, cakes, cookies and
desserts are prepared daily on the premises. Meals are served either under the
African sky, in the Boma or in one of the more formal areas of the main lodge. Welgevonden WildlifeThe vegetation offers an amazing diversity from Proteas to sycamore fig trees, sweet grasses to the reed grasses that embrace the many streams that run through the reserve. Thick forest vegetation gives way to large open plains, reminiscent of the African dream. Unique to the Welgevonden reserve are the spectacular views of African landscapes in combination with excellent game viewing – a combination unique on the South African safari circuit. Whilst on game drive through this spectacular wilderness, one can encounter an abundance of wild life including white rhino, kudu, blue wildebeest, giraffe, eland, zebra, elephant, lion, buffalo and the ever-elusive leopard. |
